Event Manager

As part of an over $750M Canadian-owned company (an enterprise that consists of TravelEdge, Kensington Tours, and Worldview Travel),  Worldview Travel comprises leisure, corporate and specialty travel divisions and is a recognized leader in the industry.  Worldview Events, a business unit branch of Worldview Travel, Inc. (“WVT”), designs and manages full service corporate group travel incentive programs, meetings and conferences, and some exposition services as third-party consultants.


Supporting the overall North American Team and reporting to the Worldview Events Director, the Event Manager is in charge of overseeing corporate client program success for MICE programs to ensure satisfaction, smooth event execution, and communication among WVT departments as the event’s primary project manager and the client’s primary point of contact. The Event Manager will be expected to work with the Sr. Event Manager, Director, and other roles to design and deliver on time, on budget, and beyond client expectation.


  • Project Management and Coordination
  • Program planning, execution, task management, vendor relations, administrative, upkeep and event updates, communications liaison and scheduling
  • Budget management - plan to the budget / notify director of status
  • Coordinate function orders and logistics
  • Develop client program proposals and program design
  • Develop and manage program budgets (zero-based and historical), reconciliation, and event income and expenses
  • Ascertain client needs and services required
  • Set and develop timelines, project management task lists, and divisions of duties
  • Manage logistics, operations, schedules, and production coordination
  • Manage site selection, RFP creation and management, site inspections, and analytical recaps
  • Oversee overall project execution, performance, and profitability

  • Leadership and strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word and cloud-sharing programs
  • Understanding of social media in event settings


  • Minimum 3 years professional event management experience (full time dedication)
  • Previous experience with a 3rd Party/Agency Event Management Company (an asset)
  • Strong background in program management and execution
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong working experience with CVent
  • CMP designation and membership(s) in MPI, SITE, PCMA, preferred

Time Commitment: full time; travel will be included; long days and some weekends are expected
